Instructed glass to remove the bar lines when composing: creates a cycle that can be repeated over and over, glass applied this to his western training, minimalism is a cross between eastern & western styles. 2nd film in qatsi trilogy: non-narrative (series of images with music, collaboration between glass & director godfrey reggio. Western instrumentation: string section, woodwind section, brass section, percussion section. 3 quenas: didgeridoo, tanpura, hispanic young people"s chorus.
