Provides a guideline for data collection and care planning. Assists with documentation of clients" needs and plan of care. Compare the np and a written nursing care plan. Nursing care pan includes three of the steps in the nursing process and specific information about the patient in it. Includes nursing diagnosis: goals, expected outcomes and specific nursing interventions; Therefore any nurse will be able to quickly identify a client"s clinical needs and situation. Discuss the links that integrate each step of a nursing care plan. Assessment: the nurse gathers & analyzes information to understand the clinet"s health status. Diagnosis: the nurse identifies the client"s response to health problems within the domain of nursing.
