Cniii: oculomotor- pupillary reflex and 6 cardinal positions of gaze ( parallel tracking and nystagmus in the extreme gaze is normal) Cnv: trigeminal - motor: clench teeth and push on them and see if they resist pressure. Sensory: close eyes and touch the face with cotton tip lightly - say now when feel ( testing the 3 branches of the trigeminal : problem with chewing food- prob with trigeminal nerve ish. Cnviii: vestibulocochlear: whisper voice test ( press on tragus) - give 2 two syllabled words for each word. Cnix: glossopharyngeal : motor: say ah to see if the soft palate and uvula rise , gag reflex ( impt to safely feed someone)
