PHL 513 Lecture Notes - Lecture 3: Angelina Jolie, Infor, Edmund Husserl
Document Summary
A complicated experience which happened by way of multiplicity of distinct moments of experiencing. Despite the multiplicity, a unified experience occurred. Experience is not a mix of discrete little bits it was one thing growing or unfolding. Husserl is asking the question: what are some of the basic components/conditions of experiencing in general and synthesis is one of them. Horizons: you are not experiencing things from scratch, the past is still within the experience in some way, you are holding onto some of the notes at play as the following/continuation occurs. That which surrounds your current experience (the past and the future are not necessarily seen but they are at play) Experience itself is intrinsically horizonal, to see is to already too horizonal structure. Implied but not at play not present/ but not wholly absent. Temporal: awareness of the experience passing experiential time passing.
