Mathew brady and combined visual images of the photographs and added text from readings from letters that young soldiers sent to families: used it to produce one of the best documentaries ever made. Movies come along late 19 century: time of invention, economical and technological revolution. First person to create a moving image. Stanford hired edward maybridge to photograph a moving horse first moving image: maray (1880s) Created the first real moving camera and the first projector. The image that was shown was an unsteady image. Solved by a guy named william dickson. Thomas edison worked for dickson to come up with a way to commercially displaying these films.
