Countries with strong political cultures are held to change: but are also very stable. System level: people"s attitudes towards the values and organizations that comprise the political system. Pride in nations, national identity and legitimacy of government: most americans are proud of being american (it"s a part of their culture?) Process level: expectations regarding the political level rules and decision-making methods and individual"s relationship to the government role of citizens, perception of political rights. Role of government, government policy priorities: expect government to be fair and just. This is how vales are formed: agents, the family, social groups and identity, schools, peer groups interest groups. Unions and civil society: political parties, mass media. Distinguish between the political economic systems and how they reconcile freedom and equality.
