Document Summary

They are statements/theories that do 3 things: describe, explain & justify. Describe: when describing your theory, you start off with the facts. These facts are un-arguable and this will pose no arguments towards your theory (yet). Explain: explaining links the facts to your theory. It explains what you are trying to prove or say about your facts you have just described. Justify: this section of the theory is where you will state your judgment or opinion. In other words it"s where you explain how you think things should word and the value of the facts and explanations you just stated. The difference is in the justification that will show your side to your theory. It is important to know who holds the power. This is how far you"re willing to let the government do to uphold what they think is right.
