Development: how people change from conception to death; the study of systematic changes and continuities in an individual that occur btw conception and death. A lot of ways you say the same from when you were younger. Easy baby happy, smiling, pretty good schedule (eating, eliminating, sleeping); easy for parents to take care of often easy to get along with adults. Difficult child cry a lot, extremes of emotion, don"t like changes, upset/temper tantrums, irregular schedule (sleep, eat, eliminate) you can be helped to get over your difficulties, you still are a difficult person. Slow to warm up child shy, don"t have extremes of emotions, need time to warm up to things. The above are continuities that stay similar as you mature. Maturation your biological develop that follows lines laid down by heredity: i. e. children"s brains have to mature before they can think abstractly. Why: optimize development what can we do to get kids best development.
