Lymphatic system - the tissues and organs that produce and store cells that fight infection and disease. A pale-coloured (whitish colour) cell that acts as a part of the immune system by destroying invading cells and removing debris (removes stuff you do(cid:374)"t need in the body) Bone marrow produces leukocytes (white blood cells) Lymph nodes- have compartments for storing some of the white blood cells and are also found in the (cid:374)e(cid:272)k"s glands, can be found in armpit. Have filters that can capture antigen (induces/generates and anti response, any molecuels or cells that produce an immune response in the body to fight against a disease) Lymph vessels- a highway for your lymphatic tissue. They transport white blood cells throughout the body. Connect to the lymph nodes and they carry a fluid called lymph into the blood stream (lymph contains the white blood cell) Filters antigens that the lymph vessels put into the bloodstream.
