At this stage, it is really hard to stop now; would be costly and ruin your reputation. Manage resources (people and money), supervise and coordinate. Often multiple parties conduct inspections: pm and cm, architect, engineers. #1: land is prepared (remove trees, level site, measure building footprint) #3: footings are formed and poured (concrete slabs that support foundation walls) #4: foundation walls (might be poured concrete or concrete blocks) Sills: anchored to the foundation, then joists (support grid) are attached. Wall studs: attached to sills to create frame. Metal studs are not load-bearing: they can snap! Interior: insulation, drywall, heating and cooling, painting, flooring, kitchen and bathroom, plumbing and electrical. Single family construction 4 to 7 months. Create column in the middle made of concrete; put the elevator and stairwell and janitorial services in the strong concreate frame; provides structure (central core) Many tasks can be done simultaneously (ie. floor and kitchen cabinets)
