22 views2 pages

Document Summary

Critical thinking demands we have reasons for our beliefs and decisions. It i also reflective thinking, because you must be constantly thinking about what your doing as you go. It can help us to attain knowledge. It is also possible to have false, justified belief. They may believe in something and have good evidence, although their facts are mistaken. In other words, the 3 elements of knowledge are independent of each other. May also have true yet unjustified belief. Or true justifiable evidence, but do not believe it. In this case the individual is in complete denial. To be considered knowledge all 3 elements are needed. Ct helps us to make sure sure our beliefs are justified, and through justification we can find something to be true and we therefor gain knowledge. Realism: there are facts that exist whether any individual believes it or not. Relativism: truth is completely relative based on what someone believes.
