Week 3 (actually week 4, no lecture week 1) The legacy- the residenial school"s legacy, happened in the past as well as today with child welfare. The jusice system and how there is much more aboriginals within the jusice system. Recognize and support the right for aboriginal support and determinaion, hold all levels of government accountable for reducing the gaps. The government is not going far enough; they should just ask them to remove bill c-10 all together. The new government is going to do the inquiry around missing indigenous women. (all an inquiry is, is to ind out what the problem is and we already know what the problem is). So far it is a lot of talk, reserve has an agreement or a treaty with the federal government where they owe a responsibility, they did not transfer pay enough into each area due to recession.
