Interaction of heredity and environment shape and form human development. Parents must concern themselves with children"s social development. Children that weren"t socialized and kept away from society could not speak, were fearful, reacted like wild animals and did not react to nearby sounds. Study shows that when twins are in similar social setting, their iq results are also similar. But when they are in different settings, their iq results are different as well. Suggests that all behaviour is the result of genetic or biological factors and that social interactions play no role in shaping people"s conduct. Focuses on how human nature is affected by the genetic composition of a group of people with certain characteristics. Our view of ourselves comes from examining our personal qualities and our impressions of how others perceive us. We learn who we are by interacting with others.
