Lecture 7/week 10 - wednesday november 11 ,2015. Sexualities and education: discourses of sin, crime, and illness, discourses of public and private sex, discourses of equality, freedom of expression and the charter, queer sexuality as post group identity, legal discourses and education, sexual minority youth. Congregate intermix and engage in sexual activities with each other. Sin homosexual acts that happen in private. Crime new laws to define what was acceptable and what was criminalized: buggery criminal legislation as an unnatural offence offence against morality. Anal penetration, defining what is not moral: gross indecency activities between men that weren"t considered to be buggery. Non reproductive sex = sinful and crime against nature (could result in death) Foucault ban sexual activities that are for pleasure and not for procreation. Forensic psychiatry, sexology, and sex psychology newly formed sexual sciences. Homosexuals were seen to pose a threat to the communities: discourses of public and private sex.
