An organization may have on over arching culture. But within the organization they may be other subcultures. Visible: culture can be seen in terms of, what people wear, how the office is organized, technology used. Not visible: values of the company and individuals, beliefs of the company and individuals. Culture unifies people: guides day-to-day work, determines how communication occurs in the workplace, what behavior is acceptable. What the business does influences the business"s culture. Culture may be impacted by what kind of work is actually done. Examples: culture in a creative firm like google will be influenced by the fact that it is in the information business.
