Problematic: you recognize people as your family who you don"t have legal or blood ties to, re-partnering after divorce or widowed, the children don"t have blood or legal ties are not present. People break relationships with their blood ties, and make their partner and friends family. Dfn is outdated, and problematic, leaves out in most cases that ppl who recognize others as fam, and those intern consider them families , doesn"t take account how most ppl live today. Most violence focus on physical, that"s why stats are wrong, our justice system requires proof of abuse. Physical manifestations of physical abuse- only kind that gets reported is physical, when reported take pics of bruises or broken bones. Only type of social violence that shows up in stats is physical abuse, or the manifestations of physical violence. Stats only include physical violence with physical manifestations. Women"s centre: less than 10% of violence gets reported (only physical violence)
