Event: share my notes, friday 11-1pm @ slc 515. Colonial construction of gender will not be included in the take home, but will be in the final! Word count for each answer should be no longer than 735 words (you can exceed the limits in. Since it is an open exam, you are expected to use the texts learnt in class succinctly and accurately. Answers must be precise and concise -- direct to the point. No external texts are allowed -- only assigned texts. The indian act came to be developed over time through separate pieces of colonial legislation regarding aboriginal peoples across canada such as the gradual civilization act of 1857 and the gradual enfranchisement act. In 1876, these acts were consolidated as the indian act (indigenous foundations). Goal of this act is a way to assimilate the natives.
