They become very compulsive, concerned with cleanliness, rigid, stingy- hold back their love or care, passive aggressive- just wont do what you want them to do, lack spontineity. Anal expulsive: someone who goes to the bathroom at inopportune times. Impulsive, wasteful, aggressive, wantonly destructive, very disorganized: phallic: not seen as critical until the end of the phase at first attention to genitals is touching oneself- purely internal then gets turned to opposite sex parent. Desire to take on the role of the father and possess the mother. Father is competition- father will win out: bigger, stronger. Castration anxiety: anxiety that boy will lose penis boy must suppress this anxiety or too terrifying. Boy concludes that women have lost their penis- terrified it will happen to them.
