Philosophic doubt: accepting what you know at the current time, but open to further information when it is given. (not a cocky science, very humble). Scientist-practitioner model (read pdf online for more info) Bf skinner came into the field around the time that this model came out (around 1949) Science and practice should not be two separate things; they should be conjoined, integrated, and not parallel. (practitioners and scientists together, not separate). We are two of one; we follow both roles. If i am basing my treatment on clinical knowledge, the treatment will be better (clients will be satisfied and there will be better outcomes). Research has to be done before treatment (true scientist).
