Description
EIGRP Terminology Advertised Distance(AD)/Reported Distance(RD) is the cost between the next-hop router and the destination Feasible Distance(FD) is the cost between the local router and the next-hop router plus the next-hop router's AD to the destination network. Feasible Successor(FS) is a neighbor that is closer to the destination, but it is not the least-cost path, ensures a loop- free topology, have an AD less than the FD of the current successor route Feasibility Condition condition must be met for a route to be considered feasible successor, when multiple paths to the same subnet exist and where the AD is lower than FD that path is said to be meeting the feasibility condition Diffusing Update Algorithm (DUAL) the routing algorithms that tracks all routes advertised by all neighbors and uses distance inf
