A person responsible for implementaion of a change project. Is responsible for the success of the change project. Role is to manage the dynamics of change process. The change agents must eventually bow out of the iniiaive and allow staf to coninue. A disagreement about something of importance to each person involved. Whenever there is a possibility for disagreement, there is potenial for confict. Power is described as the ability to create, acquire, and use resources to achieve one"s goals. Power can be defned at various levels: personal, cultural, professional, or organizaional. Power, regardless of level, comes from the ability to infuence others or afect others" thinking or behavior. Efecive nurses view their ability to understand and use power as a signifcant part of their responsibiliies to clients, their co-workers, the nursing profession, and themselves. Nurses with personal power manifest high levels of self-awareness.
