Kublai khan 1260 1294: remembered for founding the yuan dynasty 1279-1368, mongols embraced much of chinese ideas and ways, fearful and cautious of the chinese people that they conquered. Isolated mongols from the chinese people: mongols married mongols and chinese married chinese, mongols had to master mongol language but can learn chinese, limited chinese power.
