Hsp: work with provincial govt, ngos to help conduct local scale conservation (nest trees and nest boxes to recover certain types of birds) Afsar: monitor species on first nations lands. Irf: provincial govt apply for recovery planning purposes. 3 lead agencies for recovery documents in canada. Provincial: has own recovery planning strategy. if already written then we will take that document and adopt it as our recovery strategy and add any federal points. Environment canada responsible for migratory species and any species listed under category 1 in sara.
