Productivity Paradox:
Information systems usually make businesses more productive however, evidence for this increase in
productivity can be hard to find and label.
The three different ways the value of IT can be recognized: (3 ways to prove MIS helps)
Productivity (IT allows a company to make more, better or faster outputs with the same inputs.

Restructures competition (all competing thus all getting better as they use more IT; better products
produced)
2.
Benefits to the end customer (increases in productivity and competition make final products better and
cheaper than ever before).
3.
Efficiency:
Do the job faster and/or with fewer resources
