Document Summary
To develop tables and charts for categorical data. To develop tables and charts for numerical data. Data graphically: data in raw form are usually not easy to use for decision making. Used to study patterns that may exist between the responses of two or more categorical variables. For two variables the tallies for one variable are located in the rows and the tallies for the second variable are located in the columns. Bar charts and pie charts are often used for categorical data. A vertical bar chart, where categories are shown in descending order of frequency. A (cid:272)u(cid:373)ulati(cid:448)e polygo(cid:374) or (cid:862)ogi(cid:448)e(cid:863) is ofte(cid:374) sho(cid:449)(cid:374) o(cid:374) the sa(cid:373)e graph. Used to separate (cid:862)(cid:448)ital fe(cid:449)(cid:863) vs. (cid:862)tri(cid:448)ial (cid:373)a(cid:374)y(cid:863) The bar chart section shows stocks is the priority portion. Cumulative plot line shows the additive accumulation of frequencies as you move across the chart. Stocks are worth ~k and represent ~40% of total.
