Document Summary

We do have more bs today because bs relates to opinionating. We usually do(cid:374)"t fi(cid:374)d people (cid:448)eeri(cid:374)g a(cid:449)ay fro(cid:373) the truth as the reaso(cid:374) for speaki(cid:374)g. Distinguishing bs and lying: bs is not false but that it is a phony. People (cid:449)ho (cid:271)s do(cid:374)"t (cid:272)are a(cid:271)out the truth, so they (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t de(cid:272)ei(cid:448)e you a(cid:271)out the truth (cid:271)ut they de(cid:272)ei(cid:448)e you about the motives. The bullshitter misrepresents the fact that truth or falsity is simply unimportant. Ca(cid:374)"t (cid:272)all the(cid:373) out (cid:271)e(cid:272)ause they ha(cid:448)e (cid:374)o regard for the truth (cid:894)they do(cid:374)"t (cid:272)are(cid:895). Iro(cid:374)y is (cid:373)ore people gra(cid:448)itate towards him because of the disregard of the truth from his claims. They become creditable towards that because they are promoting a cause. The bullshitter does not reject the authority of the truth as the liar does and oppose himself to it he pays no attention to it at all. By virtue of this, bullshit is a greater enemy of the truth than liars are.
