From growing up in the generation of the napster lawsuit and other music download apps like limewire, kazaa, and plenty more, i do feel we will see a comprehensive internal law passed in my lifetime. Whether it will be successful or not is a different story. With hackers globally there"s always a loop hole to access restricted information through the internet. Although these actions are illegal, people still find their way to be granted access. On the contrary of the hackers, corporations are losing money because of these loop holes. Whatever internet law that"s passed in my lifetime will start out as national. International would be too broad to efficiently patrol and prosecute offenders. From language barriers and cultural differences it will be very difficult to reach common grounds on a law. If one were to pass it would definitely cover something that brings in a lot of revenue.
