When i experienced this scene at the age of 7 years old the theatre filled with laughter. Still until this day this is one of the most entertaining scenes throughout that movie. In this case the abstract cultural rule of usi(cid:374)g the phrase (cid:862)m(cid:455) nigga(cid:863), is that it"s (cid:374)ot a(cid:272)(cid:272)epta(cid:271)le to use if (cid:455)ou"re (cid:374)ot afri(cid:272)a(cid:374)-american. While this scene was intended to be a joke that expressed cultural differences in ethics, it"s still a strong issue in america today. This issue brings to mind the teachings of marshall mcluhan. The highly replicated and e(cid:454)pressed phrase (cid:862)the (cid:373)ediu(cid:373) is the (cid:373)essage(cid:863) (cid:271)(cid:455) marshall m(cid:272)luha(cid:374) is a phrase that"s used to explain the different steps in which we receive and interpret messages depending on the variables throughout the process.
