Description
http://www.livescience.com/4950keyopticalillusionsdiscovered.html In her article,“Key to All Optical Illusions Discovered,” Jeanna Bryner expands on the  findings made by Changizi that same seer ability can explain a range of optical illusions.  According to Changizi, the occurrence of illusions takes place when the brain makes an  effort to make out the future, and those perceptions don't match reality. The article then  proceeds to explain how the foresight theory could explain geometric illusions, which  involve shapes. The Hering illusion is examined as an elaboration. The Hering illusion  looks like bike spokes around a central point, with vertical lines on either side of this  central vanishing point. We are tricked by this illusion, into thinking we are moving  forward, and thus, our ability to see into the future is switched on. Due to the fact that we  aren't actually in motion and the figure is still, we misconceive the straight lines to be  curved lines. In reality, when you are moving forward, the shape of objects doesn’t  change alone, other variables, such as the angular size, speed and contrast between the  object and background, also undergoes a change. To further elaborate,  Jeanna Bryner  gives an example that if t
