(1987): 27. 5% of women are victims. Gss on victimization 2004 (24k households): rate of sexual touching and attacks 1. 98 per 1000 over age 14. Police reported data shows less occurrences of sexual assault as opposed to victim surveys. Gss survey: <10% of sexual assaults/touching incidents reported to the police; 22% of more violent forms reported. Did not want to get involved with the police (41%) No single proile encompasses majority of sex ofenders.
