Guarantees fundamental freedoms, legal, equal rights for all citizens including those accused of crimes. Equality section was discovered in 1982 but did not come until 1985. Provides protection for individuals & ensures fairness during legal proceedings. All components of cjs must conform to charter. If they don"t and do not follow, will (cid:271)e stru(cid:272)k down. Acts or omissions prohibited by criminal law with no legal defence.
