Law are always a reflection of values and the govt must always act according to the law. Introduction: nature of law: positive law: laws made through some proper valid legal process by people. International law: laws that govern relationships between countries and set standards of behaviours that are internationally acceptable. Domestic law: laws that govern affairs/matters within a country: domestic law of canada, procedural law: laws that set out the legal processes to resolve legal disputes. Criminal procedures: legal procedures related to criminal disputes. Constitutional law: it sets out the framework for our legal system (whole country). It also protects and promotes core values of our society (ex. It prohibits the serious and dangerous anti-social behaviour that threatens people or property in society. Administrative law: law that regulates the behaviour of government towards the people. How-2 things- the govt must abide according to law, govt must always act fairly (fair process) Taxation law: law that authorizes govt to tax.
