Additional types of coding: axial coding (next step after open coding, looking for connections/links between data, selective coding. Involves higher levels of abstraction: elaborations of stories, theoretical coding, fluid process that involves constant comparison of cases, formulate questions from data, how things are connected, thematic coding*, process of organizing data into common sense.
