Gender effects: most attachment research is done with mums, only a few studies done with others like dads, if child can securely attached with one but not another >remember internal. Working model - attachment style can influence this model: attachment can therefore influence other relationships. Set of expectations about social world, including the sense of yourself and a sense of others. By the time one is a teenager, the internal working model is an advocate for the external world. both parents, teachers, people in life - will be aggregated to experiences. Whatever your primary attachment is, it will influence your internal working model as a template for what your expectations are for your world and yourself - however, this can either be reinforced and changed with later experiences. However, to change it, it would take a lot of time and effort to change . example: when child enters school.
