Created efficiency: managers not workers make decisions, standard, best method for performing each job, select workers with right abilities for each job, workers got to use their talents / what they were good at, train workers in the standard method, support workers by planning their work and eliminating interruptions, wage incentives to workers for increased output, work is defined and authority legitimized, there"s a boss and you get no decisions to make, hierarchy of workers, chosen based on skill, training or experience, decisions recorded to allow continuity and memory, management is different from ownership of the organization, managers also follow rules to ensure predictability, continuity.
