Population health = it is an approach that focuses on improving and maintain the health status of a population. It aims to reduce inequities in health status between population groups. It moves beyond traditional health sector approaches to improving health. Rather, the determinants of health, easing outside the healthcare system had more of an influence on our health. Social determinants of health = are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. These circumstances are shaped by the distribution of money, power and resources at global, national and local levels. Health promoting factors found in one"s living and working conditions, rather than individual risk factors that influence the risk for disease, or vulnerability to disease or injury. Income and social status = the healthiest populations are those in societies which are prosperous and have equitable distribution of wealth.
