Liver: secretes bile emulsifies fat, plays role in processing and storing certain nutrients. Gallbladder: small sac stores bile, release bile into small intestine. Pancreas: gland behind stomach, secretes enzymes that digests all major nutrients, secretes buffers that neutralize hcl from stomach, releases secretions into small intestine. Lumen = hollow area of gi tract which food/fluids travel.
