55-64 age groups have highest prevalence in obesity. There is a widespread variability in prevalence of obesity among cdn health regions. Many factors in different regions but the problem is prevention programs do not take into consideration the overlapping factors of eating disorders. According to measured height and weight data 2007-2009, prevalence of obesity in cdn adults is 25% Prevalence of measured obesity among cdn children and youth (6-17 y/o) is estimated 9% Among cdn from 1985-1998, increase in prevalence especially starting from sask. In self reports of height and weight, underreporting can occur: results in lower measures of obesity, gender differences. Whr: 1. 0 for men, 0. 85 for women. Waist circumference: >94cm in men, >80cm in women. Rates for obesity are slightly lower for women than men for all ages. Higher sep women have lower obesity rates compared to lower sep women: but this gradient isn"t as strong when looking at men data. Energy-density: available dietary energy per unit weight.
