Design is as much about appropriate application as knowing the software. Design in general: interaction design, interface design, information design (much less forgiving in aesthetics! ), identity design, print design (space, rigid structure to work with space) Form: form following function helps ensure better communication of message. Where do we go from here: finding your "style" - identify things you work with well, being "unique" - explore, find what works for you, explore strengths, integrate into design, don"t stop learning! Main points: consideration: avoid form without meaningful content, and vice versa. You"ll get better designs: process: lots of sketching and idea creation = better results. Don"t be afraid of making mistakes: assess: look back at what you"ve done.
