Iat 110 - lecture 6 - visual narrative. Story may be told using still photography, illustration, video. Phrase visual storytelling is very modern invention. Visual stories taking form of juxtaposed sequences of panels of images. Aka movies, are type of visual cmn using moving images & sound to tell stories. Consists of creating illusion of motion & change by means of rapid display of sequence of still images. Story illustrated w/ sequential photographs arranged in interrelated panels to display narrative. Rest of course will be devoted to learning how images in sequence create tell stories. Through designing photo story & stop motion animation & to do so we will also learn how to do storyboards. You need to decide what to exclude & include. Want to give viewer access to diff layers of info through image sequences that have shot variety.
