Students" questions weeks 1-6 ( unedited questions) (1) when i finished the assignment sample 1 and checked the answers, i had questions about how to recognize the consonant deletion. As you can see on the picture i attached, i actually make a guess about the words begin with letter a. I was confused and couldn"t find the correlation between these word. Please clarify this to me: it should be a greek one, the prefix should be an- meaning not "n" is deleted because the root begins with a consonant. If the word satisfies these conditions, it means it is the case of cons. Deletion (2) i have a question about direct and ultimate sources. So direct and ultimate sources are both used for the borrowing language, for example, red [middle english, from old. We can"t talk about any sources of borrowing because it is development, native english.
