Feminist epistemology and philosophy of science by elizabeth anderson: postmodernism rejects both pure objectivism and relativism. Focuses on the active participation of the knower in her knowledge: rationalism (ex. Knowledge derives from reason, which is innate in us: empiricism: We are born a blank state, and set all knowledge from the perception of the external world. Feminist empiricist: will use the method of scientific of investigation to undermine some of the claims to universality and objectivity that we find in science itself(and in other fields: testimony: Any kind of report, not only in court. Most of our beliefs come from testimony. Inequity: when the person reporting (a minority such as a woman) is not trusted by the person reporting to especially when it"s about personal experience. An injustice against a person in her states as a knower. Since knowledge is key to humanity and individual humans (being knowers is an important part of what we are).
