Under this premise, everything bad should be banned, which is unreasonable. Usa (1985): 200,000 deaths from alcohol, 3000 deaths from illicit drugs. Drugs promote crime and should therefore be banned. The suppression of drugs is what causes crime, not the drugs themselves. If drugs were legal, drug lords could potentially go to cops and lawyers for help with drug disputes.
