Government funding for greater resource exploration in the canadian arctic. Other arctic countries beginning to extract resources from arctic region at a greater rate. This debilitates the environment that these various bird species thrive in, and disrupts the life cycle of the current and successive species inhabiting this area. Resource extraction will inevitably damage the environment as the rate at which extraction occurs increases. Inuit people from many economic opportunities that they were once accustomed to pursuing.
