Process of collecting and interpreting information in order to understand another person. To determine cognitive, emotional, personality, and behavioural components of human functioning. Standardized procedures designed to measure a person"s performance on a particular task or assess personality, thoughts, feelings, or behaviour. A high score indicates evasiveness, number of reading difficulties, or other problems that could items left unanswered invalidate the results of the test. A very or marked both true high score could also suggest severe and false depression or obsessional tendencies. Person is trying to look good, to present person i meet (true) self as someone with an ideal personality. Person is trying to look abnormal, sweet. (true) perhaps to ensure getting special attention from the clinician. Things couldn"t be going any better for me. Person is guarded, defensive when taking test, wishes to avoid appearing (true) incompetent or poorly adjusted.
