Collected paper surveys, placentas, dna, tons of data. Children born into poverties were more likely to struggle on every score. Health, careers, memory, longevity of life, etc. Early influences have a profound impact on who we are today. This study also begins to explain how those born into disadvantaged homes were able to be resilient and nevertheless end up in a good place. Good parenting only reduced the educational gap by 50% between low ses and high. Lack of resources - time, food, education, etc. Best intentions can be constrained by material needs.
