Many of dissertations written on topics unrelated to experimental psychology & it is well known that wundt dedicated his own work in his leipzig years increasingly to logic, systematic philosophy, ethics, natural philosophy, ethnological psychology. Wundt"s entire career from 1880s on could be described as attempt to gain secure if limited place for experimental psychology while also demonstrating his own worthiness to belong to philosophy proper. Creation myth - symbolic story of (1) how life began & (2) how ppl first came to inhabit the world - many cultural belief systems provide these creation myths.
