People are really like layers using moral reasoning to justify decisions already made based on evolved emotional reactions. Moral intuitions are claimed to be rapid, effortless and automatic. Decision is based on the guy response and the reasoning is used to justify the decision to the self and others. Reasoning is secondary, it is a justi cation for an intuitive judgement.
