Ms access demo relationships, data validation and reports. Relationships: open the relationships & data validation database, the database contains a customertable and an ordertable, the ordertable has a field in it that references the id of the customer who placed the order. Customerid in the ordertable: click on the enforce referential integrity checkbox. That means that if a record in the ordertable references a customerid in the customertable then access will not allow the user to delete the record in the ordertable. It also means that you cannot create a record in the ordertable that references a record in the customertable that does(cid:374)"t e(cid:454)ist. Data validation: first let"s take a look at the caption property. Although we should not have blanks in the field names it looks better to the use if we do. In the caption property for firstname enter first name. Enter 000 000 0000 in the property field input mask.
