Document Summary

Read chapter 5 on monitoring as well as a new chapter that is on moodle. A lab report is due two weeks from february 3rd. There is a midterm on wednesday february 10th and make sure to understand and interpret for the test and not just reiterate. Ecotoxicology testing is usually done in water because everything mixes and creates a homogenous mixture as well as a lot of testing methods are based on the complete mixing of soil. Whereas soil does not mix so this is a problem. Soil is very unique (so it is hard to find a control and soil as a dilatant) Vigor of a plant will determine how much it gets affected by toxicity. Chemicals that bond to the soil will not cause harm, however chemicals that are in the soil that are in solution is what are considered toxic.
